How this EMI calculator works
The calculator uses the standard reducing-balance formula: EMI = P × r × (1+r)n ÷ ((1+r)n − 1), where P is the financed amount, r the monthly interest rate and n the tenure in months. This is the same formula banks and NBFCs use for personal loans and consumer durable financing.
Two practical tips: first, a shorter tenure always reduces total interest — if the monthly difference fits your budget, pick fewer months.
